HOLDEN CAPTIVA CG 3.2L V6 CAMSHAFT ALIGNMENT TOOLS ALLOYTEC

These tools are for aligning the camshafts on 3.6L 3.0L V6 engines (pre SIDI) while performing any work on the engine such as replacing timing chains. When setting the camshaft timing, due to the engine having separate timing chains going to each bank of cylinders, the camshafts on the left bank must be held while setting the timing on the right bank and vice versa.

Failure to use these tools can result in incorrect camshaft timing due to the camshaft moving under spring pressure from valve springs which can consequently cause engine damage.

Note: This product can also be used for 3.6L Alloytec V6 engines by simply using only two of the tools instead of three - use plate A and Plate B.

Alloytec Applications: 3.6L (LE0, LY7) VZ – VE Commodore 2004 – 2009, 3.6L (LY7) WL – WM Statesman 2004 - 2009, 3.2L (LU1) CG Captiva 2006 – 2011, 3.6L RA Rodeo 2005 – 2008.

Audi creates Carbon Ski design

Fri, 25 Feb 2011

Audi has recently teamed up with Head to produce these lightweight skis. Far from being the first manufacturer to dabble with downhill equipment, Audi claims that its expertise in motorsport has resulted in a ski that is significantly lighter than its nearest competitor. Taking Audi's knowledge of carbon fiber in motorsport and combining it with Head's extensive background in skiing, the duo have created a significantly lighter ski than those from other industry competitiors.

How Lumiscaphe software delivers for Eagle Ottawa

Mon, 14 Nov 2011

Real-time visualization software is transforming the speed and ease with which design teams can develop interior proposals, saving time and money in the process, as Lumiscaphe's visualization designer and Eagle Ottawa China's Design Director of the Asia Pacific region discussed with Car Design News. "Until very recently we relied purely on flat and trimmed leather samples and photography when visiting clients," explains Erik Vogas, Eagle Ottawa China's Director of Design, Marketing and Innovation in Shanghai. "Physical samples are always the most compelling, but we are also impacted by the timing and cost constraints of creating those samples.

Hyundai beefs up its WRC team

Wed, 10 Apr 2013

Hyundai revealed last year that they’re preparing to take on the World Rally Championship (WRC) from 2014 when a rally car based on the i20 will take to the world rally stage to cast some sport fairy dust on Hyundai’s showroom cars. At that time we had little information about the team, but in January we learnt that Hyundai had appointed Michel Nandan to head up their WRC efforts, a good move as Nandon was the technical director for the Peugeot WRC team until 2005, so he knows his stuff. Now we learn that Hyundai is beefing up its WRC team as it prepares for a full season of WRC in 2014.
